City of Lawrence Art Fair – South Park, Lawrence, Kansas (East side of Massachusetts Street, just south of downtown)

 It’s the 35th Annual Fall Arts and Crafts Festival on Sunday, September7, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in historic South Park. The festival includes arts and craft sales, displays and demonstrations of work. Arts and crafts will include pottery, ceramics, weaving, stained glass, leather crafts, woodcarving, dried flower arrangements, oil painting, jewelry and silversmithing, quilts, baskets, sculpture, seashell art, watercolors, photography, acrylics, drawing and more. Enjoy the live performances of a variety of musical groups as you browse the artwork. Children’s activities include a Moonwalk/slide and an arts and crafts booth.

 This more than 50 years old event is a popular regional attraction and features multiple stages of performances, major acts such as Trampled Under Foot, The Elders and Trout Fishing in America and hundreds of artisans, food vendors and farmers.

 There are many exciting new changes happening this year … we have a new name and new location.  You have known us our first 5 years as the Longview Art & World Music Festival.  We are proud to announce that as of 2013 we are now known as Summit Art Festival. The mix of fine art, non-amplified music, and a food/beverage court will complement the atmosphere of the exciting weekend fine art festivities. Beyond the extraordinary artist booths, this event offers two pavilions: one for Summit Art artists and another for art from Lee’s Summit R-7 School District students in grades 7-12.

Helping Hands Humane Society Holiday Bazaar and Farmers Market

5720 SW 21st Street, Topeka, KS

 Holiday Bazaar and farmers Market to help raise funds for the care of animals living in their shelter. Locally produced crafts and produce especially for the holiday season. Clocks will in present in the booth, certainly. But a focus for this event will be wood craft suitable for the kitchen and the holiday dinner table. Bowls, platters, cups plus kitchenware with turned wood components such as pepper/salt grinders, pizza cutters, ice cream scoops and more. As ever signature signature spinning tops will be available as ‘stocking stuffers’.

Lawrence Art Guild Holiday Art Fair

Lawrence Arts Center – 940 New Hampshire, Lawrence, KS

 This annual one-day community arts fund raiser offers area artists a winter exhibition and sales opportunity. Holiday Art Fair takes place inside the Lawrence Arts Center, in conjunction with their Preschool Cookie Sale. Live music is scheduled throughout the day, and a variety of dance and theater events take place in one or both of the Lawrence Art Center’s stage’s the nights before and after the show.
